Media manipulation is rampant in the present postmodern culture since people are constantly monitored by screens due to the advancement of technology. In the postmodern world, the media have become an inseparable part of everyday life, where there is hardly any scope to spend a single moment without the screen and media. Thus, the current researcher got the impetus to unravel the media's simulated world, which uses images, advertisements, and signs to expand global capitalism. The objective of the study is to explore inquisitively the power and influence of the media and the way these are used to manipulate people. This is a qualitative study that delves into media politics and media economy in an investigative way to uncover the covert targets of the media. The study's major finding is that the media play a vital role in attracting consumers and expanding world commercialism in today's globalized world. Several modern and postmodern writings were extensively studied to scrutinize the manifold facets of media manipulation through different presentations of print and visual formats.

Background Population health indices measure a specific population group's health risk. There is a lack of research on how population indices are used in cancer research. The aim of this study was to provide the first scoping review of the literature on the use of population health indices in cancer research. Methods A scoping review included three databases for research papers, which had to be published anytime through September 2021. PRISMA reporting guidelines were followed throughout this study, and the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool was used to determine study quality. Results A total of 1493 articles were identified, with 250 meeting the inclusion criteria. Population health indices are used in cancer research to explain the global and regional effects of intervention measures, such as cancer screening programs and policy implementation. Population health indices were also used to study cancer's economic outcomes, the burden of disease, and spatial and temporal patterns. Breast, lung, cervical, liver, and colorectal cancers appeared in most studies. Additionally, there is considerably less cancer research using population health indices in low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Conclusions The use of population health indices for cancer research is widespread and can inform various investigations. There is a marked lack of such studies from low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Additionally, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data across all countries will improve the accuracy of the usefulness of population health indices.

The migration literature has shown that immigrant parents face significant challenges with regard to parenting in a new culture, especially with the children in early adolescence, a period of significant physical, social and emotional change for human being. This article demonstrates that Bangladeshi mothers, who have spent a major part of their lives in Bangladeshi cultural contexts, face different socio-cultural contexts raising their young daughters in Australia. Using qualitative methods, this article discusses Bangladeshi mothers parenting experiences who have daughters' between the ages of 10 to 14 years. Thematic analysis of the data revealed two broad themes: perceived benefits of raising daughters in Australia and mothers' anxieties around daughters' rearing and promotion of mistrust; and two sub-themes:perceived cultural differences: Bangladeshi vs. Australian culture and perceived risk of shame, loss of family reputation and honour. The findings reveal how mothers' construct their daughters' identities as Bengali women as they follow cautionary parenting in a foreign culture through promotion of mistrust about inter-racial communications.

Despite the significant progress that the government of Bangladesh has made toward introducing menstrual regulation with medication (MRM) into the national health program, there has been no systematic documentation on the introduction of MRM in Bangladesh, and on the approval process of local manufacturing of the mifepristone-misoprostol combination for menstrual regulation. This Research Report presents findings from the stakeholder analysis which was initiated to document the entire process of introducing MRM in the country. Findings from key informant interviews indicated some crucial factors that facilitated the process; these are presented here according to a four-part policy analysis framework: context, content, process, and actors.

The antioxidant capacity and the phytochemical composition of two by-products from beeswax recycling processes were recently investigated. The aim of the present work was to evaluate the efficacy of one of these by-products, MUD1, against the oxidative stress induced by 2,20-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH) in human dermal fibroblast (HDF) cells. After a preliminary viability assay, the protective effect of MUD1 was investigated through the measurement of apoptosis level, the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitrite (NO2-) production, the level of protein and lipid biomarkers (carbonyl groups, total glutathione and thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance) of oxidative damage, and the measurement of antioxidant enzymes activities (glutatione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione transferase, superoxide dismutase and catalase). The obtained results showed that MUD1 exerted protective effects on HDF, increasing cell viability and counteracted the oxidative stress promoted by AAPH-treatment, and improved mitochondria functionality and wound healing capacities. This work shows the antioxidant effects exerted by beeswax by-products, demonstrating for the first time their potential against oxidative stress in human dermal fibroblast cells; however, further research will be necessary to evaluate their potentiality for human health by more deeply in vitro and in vivo studies. ; The present study was partially funded by the "National Beekeeping Aid Program (Programa Nacional de Ayudas a la Apicultura)", cofounded by the European Union and assigned to Spanish FEGA and FEAGA agencies.
